| EPISODE 1 Name: Wasla Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda In the Hal-Mirdum feast, Karmnu ta’ Randu is the leader of the feast lovers. His daughter Rita gets employed with Bertie who resides in a well off converted farmhouse on the village core. Marjanu, a young novice is sent to the village convent to try his vocation. What happens while the main street is being decorated? EPISODE 2 Name: Decizjoni Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda The feast has passed and everything turns to normal. Marjanu is getting acquainted and starts organising the youths. Patri Rafel is called at the Valletta convent and gets some upsetting news. The story is leaked and there are mixed feelings around the village. What wakes up Karmnu and his family in the middle of the night? EPISODE 3 Name: Posta Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Karmnu’s future is mostly insecure. His friends have mixed opinions. An anonymous letter reaches all village households. What do the village youths decide to do? Patri Rafel strives to keep peace and convince everyone that reason should come before egoistic interests. But what happens during the Sunday mass? EPISODE 4 Name: Kundanna Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda The issue of Karmnu and the fields becomes even more complicated. Dolor fabricates a calumny which spreads like bush fire. What is Patri Rafel’s reaction? Guzeppi has a plan for the benefit of the whole village. He asks for support from all the villagers. Someone enters Karmnu’s fields. EPISODE 5 Name: Skola Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda It’s the first day of the scholastic year. Zara is enthusiastic because she will be attending a new school while Mikiel does not want to go at all. What problems arise in Mikiel’s classroom? Patri Rafel visits Karmnu in the fields and obviously does not find a warm welcome. Mr. Grixti has his own plans for his new land. EPISODE 6 Name: Vendikazzjoni Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda A fund raising activity in aid of the village feast is going to be organised inside Karmnu’s fields. Marjanu and Rita start seeing each other more and someone notices them. It won’t be a normal Christmas in Karmnu’s home. Moreover, Christmas night has something unusual in store. EPISODE 7 Name: Festa Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Another feast is approaching and Patri Rafel adorns the statue with gold and precious stones purchased with funds collected from the party in the fields that Karmnu used to work in. Saver and the children wish to go to the feast but Karmnu orders them to keep away. What happens when the band march arrives in their street? EPISODE 8 Name: Firda Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda After the feast is cancelled and the statue remains in the church, Guzeppi wants an explanation from Patri Rafel. He maintains that with his decision, the priest has taken Karmnu’s stand. Things are getting worse since Karmnu has become unemployed. Money is lacking and Saver doesn’t have enough for her family’s living. EPISODE 9 Name: Tluq Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Karmnu gets employed in Bertie’s garden. Some news reaches the convent and Marjanu has to decide quickly. Someone gets to know of Marjanu’s affair with Rita. Relations between Dolor and Guzeppi are getting worse. Rita and Marjanu have to make up their mind, and get a blessing too. EPISODE 10 Name: Flimkien Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda A new friar replaces Marjanu in the village. His fleeing with Rita ignites all the village with gossip. Meanwhile Rita gets employed and Karmnu notices something while on his way from Bertie’s house. Patri Rafel tries to speak to Karmnu. Guzeppi becomes aware of something Dolor had been hiding from him. EPISODE 11 Name: Pariri Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Erica, Bertie’s wife to be, asks for some advice from Karmnu. Rita comes to know something about her father’s situation. The relationship between Dolor and Guzeppi is fast becoming the talk of the village. Who unexpectedly visits Marjanu’s flat? What is Rita’s reaction? And what is Bertie really up to? EPISODE 12 Name: Tkixxif Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Patri Rafel has some advice for Marjanu. Zara and Mikiel go for a walk and Zara notices someone familiar. What happens to Dolor and Guzeppi? Marjanu has some visitors at work and the anticipated happens. Rita too has someone visiting her at work and feels mostly embarassed. Brian has a new plot. EPISODE 13 Name: San Pawl Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda X’ahbar ikollu Patri Rafel ghal Dolor? Fejn jiltaqghu Karmnu u Patri Rafel? Fejn imorru Bertie u Rita? The village youths have an outing on St. Paul’s feast and get the shock of their lives. EPISODE 14 Name: Ingann Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda The murder is on everyone’s agenda. Mr. Grixti is infuriated at what had happened. Roderick remains silent. Mr. Grixti believes there is something fishy about the whole story and the police make an arrest. Karmnu is urged to return to his old love. Someone finds a new job for Marjanu with a plan in mind. EPISODE 15 Name: Vojt Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Rita is becoming jealous. Erica has some news for Karmnu regarding her own wedding day. Marjanu notices a change in Rita’s ways and habits. Bertie lends his house for a night. Karmnu needs to make a telephone call and finds someone he knows on the other end of the line. EPISODE 16 Name: Indiema Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda A little girl uncovers what she had seen that proves fruitful to the police. Rita has to take a decision at work. Karistu, Anglu and Matti find the opportunity to mend fences with Karmnu. Guzeppi is sick and abuses in his own house. Who is afraid of Brian now that the truth has been discovered? EPISODE 17 Name: Missier Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Rita is pregnant and does not find it easy to tell Marjanu. Despite the difficulties, Bertie and Erica are preparing for their wedding day in full swing. Rita visits the village and Saver is upset. She wants to see her father by all means. She tries to take revenge of one of the culprits who had caused so much harm to her father. EPISODE 18 Name: Ghaliex? Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Saver keeps news about Rita’s pregnancy away from Karmnu. Bertie is worried about the matter. Dolor is convinced not to trust Guzeppi any longer. Grezz is worried about her son Ganni’s inclination. Marjanu speaks to Patri Rafel who becomes aware that the problem seems to have no solution. EPISODE 19 Name: Ugigh Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Saver finds a way to contact Rita and is stunned with the news. She is still resolute to go and speak to her father despite her mother’s plea. Guzeppi wants Patri Rafel to find Dolor and convince her to stay at home. At a negative answer, he becomes violent and full of foul offensive words. EPISODE 20 Name: Kalunja Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Saver decides to let Rita come home without making Karmnu aware of it. Karen, Roderick and Hilda are afraid that if Brian is set free, he will take revenge of them. News about Patri Rafel stirs the village up. All want to defend him except one. Rita is ill and has to remain inside for some days. The day of her visit arrives… EPISODE 21 Name: Mitlufa Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Karmnu, Karistu, Matti and Anglu go to the Valletta convent to speak on behalf of Patri Rafel but find no help from the Provincial. Rita goes to Hal-Mirdum and doesn’t feel very well. A mysterious woman comes to her rescue. Marjanu panics because he does not know Rita’s whereabouts. Everyone goes out to search for her. EPISODE 22 Name: Ghazla Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Rita has a miscarriage and takes a decision regarding her relationship with Marjanu. Karmnu does not feel well and needs a medical visit. The Provincial hears all the sides and comes to a decision. The villagers prepare for an unexpected feast. Rita feels the guilt concerning her father’s health. And Guzeppi? EPISODE 23 Name: Tentazzjoni Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Rita cannot but appreciate her father’s forgiveness. She wants to do everything for him in return. Karmnu is convinced that too much intrusion is detrimental to his daughter. Guzeppi is abandoned by all the villagers. Even work at his garage is always lacking. Some late evidence shifts the proceedings in court. EPISODE 24 Name: Ikel Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda Though Marjanu is spending a lot of time with jane, he has not forgot Rita at all. Brian gets what he deserves in court and his colleagues are relieved. Mr. Grixti is happy that his son has finally bid farewell to his past practices. Saver too is happy that the blessing she always wanted on her family has arrived. But… EPISODE 25 Name: Mhabba Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda All the villagers pay their last respects to Saver. Marjanu comes too but does not dare go into the church. Instead he goes to express his sympathy at home but Rita does not talk to him. Marjanu is faced with moments of indecision. He must choose between religious life, Jane or Rita. Does he reach a decision? EPISODE 26 Name: Coqqa Visual Direction: Paul Attard Artistic Direction: John Suda A year has passed since Saver’s death. Rita and Marjanu decide to wed after the latter graduates. In a dream, Mari sees Saver who scolds her about something she had said in the past. After the examinations, summer arrives with the preparations for another feast. This would be a feast with a difference, and a statue with a difference too… |
