Lawyer Victor Borg has been a candidate in several general elections though he was aware that his chances of being elected were minimal. He came from a small village and though the majority voted for him, he never scored enough votes. But now Architect Grixti is retiring from politics and this could be Borg’s possibility to finally achieve a quota after a long political career.

Lawyer Victor Borg could not stand such a filthy electoral campaign. There were more obstacles from his fellow party candidates than from the adversaries. One of his staunchiest canvassers left him to join another candidate. Karen finds herself in trouble, news which in such a small village becomes the order of the day. Rivals in the same party welcome the news… and tend to use it.

Karen is well aware that her mistake has not only inflicted much gossip on her family, but has also hindered her father’s approaching success in the political field. She could stand the hypocritical attitude of the villagers no more, and decides to leave her baby at home and escape the situation. As the baby boy grows, will he ever find out who his mother was?
