Actors - RONNIE GALEA
Ronnie was obsessed with drama since his schooldays at St. Aloysius College, B’Kara. He tool regular parts in drama representations organised by the school from time to time. He also loved singing and that helped him use and project his voice.

Because of his voice he was chosen to participate in festivals and musicals at the same educational institution. These included “The King and I”, “Oliver”, “Annie” and “Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat”.

After leaving school, Ronnie carried on with his acting and singing and his first ambitious task was to play Jack Worthing in Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Ernest”, in 1976. In the 1982 edition of the one-act play competition organised by M.A.D.C., Ronnie was part of the winning cast with the play by the name of “Chairperson”.

In his career, Ronnie Galea took part in several productions along other actors like Mary C. Camilleri, Karmenu Gruppetta, Charles Thake, Vitorin Galea, Josie Coppini, Lino Grech and others. He believes that had learnt something out of every actor or director he worked with.

For the past 22 years, Ronnie was a member in St. Julian’s Choir. He took part in concerts such as Mendhelson’s “Paulus”, Handhel’s “Messiah”, Mozart’s “Requiem” and Camilleri’s “Pawlu ta’ Malta”. He was also part of the choir in numerous operas in Malta and Gozo.

Ronnie liked the times when he used to take part in Maleth’s operettas including “Il-Konti ta’ Lussemburgu”, in which he took part twice in different years, “Lejl go Venezja” and “Il-Bajadera”.

In his acting career, television played a big part in productions such as “Ipokriti”, “Simpatici” as Mr. Tonna, “Tghid Giet Hekk Hux!”, “One Star Hotel”, “Fenomeni”, “Angli”, “Delitti”, “F’Bahar Wiehed”, “Ingroppi” and lately “Il-Principal” playing the part of Frederick Vella.
