BIOGRAPHY:
Born 6th April, 1951, Marsa (now Hamrun); University graduate in English and Maltese (1982); qualified teacher (1971), Subject Co-Ordinator Drama since 1996 and is responsible for the Drama Unit of the Curriculum Department in the Education Division (group responsible for Theatre - in - Education and drama education); Tutor at the national actor - training school at the Centru tad-Drama Mikiel Ang Borg, Blata ‘l-Bajda (formerly MTADA) since 1980; made his debut on stage at the age of 10 in a school play, and then in his teens led a group of young actors; took up the stage seriously at St. Michael’s College Of Education where he made his debut in Pinter’s DUMB WAITER as Gus, in 1970; speaks English and Italian fluently; worked abroad in International Theatre Encounters, as theatre expert, in Stratford – Upon - Avon (1987), Bonn (1989), Dublin (1991), Beckescaba, Hungary (1992), Besancon (1997); conducted theatre workshops during The World Children’s Theatre Festival in Lingen, Germany (1994); participated as group leader and director in Euro Fest, a festival for youth theatre groups, in Ealing, where he produced a play at the Questors Theatre (1992); best actor award for The Captain in Strindberg’s THE FATHER (MADC 1981); has two children: Roberta (1979) and Gabriel (1984).

He is also known as a TV presenter, having presented Dawra Madwarna (a weekly magazine programme) between 1975 and 1979 regularly (over 200 programmes) and more recently Tina Xortina, a weekly game show (13 programmes), among others. He has just finished presenting Kieku Tajjeb, a weekly entertainment/game show (52 programmes). He produces and presents Qui Malta! a daily radio programme in Italian for the Voice Of the Mediterranean (VOM) since 1st October 1997.
