Actors - Jesmond Grech
Jesmond Grech has published twelve novels along with many short stories which are included in regular magazines. His career started with publications of children’s stories. His nursery rhymes book Bongi Wongi u versi ohra ghat-tfal was awarded second prize in the Literature for Children Category in Premju Letterarju 2000.

He likes to read all types of literature and study different styles. He followed a London School of Journalism correspondence course in short story writing, and wrote the novel for adolescents Generazzjoni Paceville, of which two editions have been published.

In 2000 Jesmond started his Kotba tal-Qalb series with Gideb u Mhabba, which soon ran out of print. Mhabba Strangiera and Mhabba mill-Gdid soon followed. Mignuna l-imhabba will be the fourth in the series.

This led him to write Gideb u Mhabba and Mhabba mill-Gdid scripts for television. He writes on actual issues, social problems and local circumstances. In 1998 he was accepted as overseas member in the British branch of PEN, and in 2002 he became member of Akkademja tal-Malti.

Jesmond Grech has both Bachelor and Masters in Education and is presently History teacher and subject co-ordinator in a state school.
