Hermann Bonaci Productions was established in 1999 with its first production: sitcom Simpatici comprising of episodes of 40 minutes length each, broadcast on Super One Television. Since then H.B.P. has been striding ahead at full momentum with different professional television productions.
Simpatici was continued up to the 157 episode mark and remains the national sitcom. Moreover Hermann Bonaci Productions produced many different dramas throughout the years. Dun Benit, Il-Principal and Tan-Nanna Helu Manna were other hilarious serials.
Thrillers were also part of the HBP repertoire with Ghall-Paci u ghall-Mistrieh and Sal-Quccata keeping the television audience in suspense.

Cellinu, the little angel became the children’s hero in 2004.
Maltese audiences love romantic stories and both Gideb u Mhabba and Imhabba mill-Gdid brought tears to the eyes of many.
Min hu bla Htija and Il-Madonna tac-Coqqa were dramatic teleserials with the latter winning the prestigious Best Drama for TV Award for 2002, presented by the Malta Broadcasting Authority.
Drama is not all at HBP. A Saturday night variety quiz by the name of Koppji Koppji was transmitted on Net TV in 2005.

But HBP’s non drama evergreen remains Flimkien. It has been broadcast for several years, had changes in the name, in its time, in station but has outlived it all. The magazine programme is full of everything from everywhere including everybody.
Hermann Bonaci Productions have been on the air at different stations, namely One TV, Net TV and Smash TV. Their studios at Tal-Handaq in Qormi makes it all possible with amenities for live transmission all year round.
Before 1999, Hermann Bonaci was one of the directors of Bonaci Brothers’ Productions, the company which had produced the first ever Maltese television soap opera Ipokriti broadcast on P.B.S. with 65 episodes.
Hermann Bonaci Productions is not only television inclined. It was responsible for many stage productions held in major theatres around Malta and Gozo. These included concerts dedicated to music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, concerts by established local performers, musicals including the well-known Zeza tal-Flagship and other plays.
